inbound-ack-sms

How an incoming text gets an immediate acknowledgment while a real reply is on the way.

1What it is

When someone texts your connected business number outside an active conversation, inbound-ack-sms immediately sends a branded acknowledgment and alerts the person responsible. Inbound means the customer contacted your business first; SMS is a standard text message.

2Why it exists

An unanswered text leaves the sender unsure that the message arrived. A fast acknowledgment confirms receipt and sets a reasonable expectation for a real response.

3What you'll see happen

You will see the acknowledgment at the top of the new conversation and an internal notification that a person is waiting. The acknowledgment identifies the business and explains when a human should reply.

4What you do

Reply for real when you can. The acknowledgment buys a little time; it does not replace the conversation.

Bottom line: Every new text hears “we got it” even when your hands are full.
